ii and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
In 2019, Elliott was nominated for the Cystic Fibrosis, Dallas Finest 40 under 40 of Dallas Fort Worth. Dallas Finest in conjunction with the DFW Cystic Fibrosis Foundation held an event which raised money and honored those living with Cystic Fibrosis, a Respiratory lung disease without a cure. The CF Foundation is one of few that lack government funding and truly push their research and development of a cure from fundraisers like this one. After months of fundraising and joining a cause that was close to Mr. Thompson, Elliott was awarded the “Breathing for James Award” for going above and beyond all others. Elliott raised over $25,000.00 in hope to help drive more research and trail to find a cure.
Elliott was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at six months old. His hope is that one day he is able to sponsor a foundation in his name to build awareness, find a cure, and tell his inspirational story to young children with Cystic Fibrosis who need to hear that anything is possible.
