Overview
Dynamic, full-service furniture dealership seeking a driven, customer service oriented Sales professional to join our team.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develops and implements plans to increase new business and further develop existing accounts
- Networks within the market to prospect and generate new business opportunities beyond dealer originated opportunities to expand market share
- Works with customers to understand their needs and overall scope of projects; meets customer needs by identifying and proposing solutions that fit those needs AND expand business for the dealership
- Navigates complex, multilevel customer approvals processes and leverages internal resources to develop long-term relationships
- Delivers informational presentations to key influencers and high-level decision makers to create value for dealer brand
- Tracks and reports weekly results for face-to-face meetings with existing customers, new accounts, and targeted leads to meet sales objectives
- Collaborates with Sales Lead to further professional development through coaching and sharing of best practices and strategies
- Takes the lead on projects, communicates strategy, and collaborates with Designers and Project
- Managers to create winning opportunities
- Continually develops knowledge of current and upcoming product solutions and trends, and utilizes this knowledge to increase relevance of proposed solutions that fit each client’s needs
- Demonstrates understanding of how to ensure that actions and expenses align with results that lead to increased market share
Desired Skills & Experience
- Minimum of two years of outside sales experience, including pricing, sales strategy, and negotiation skills
- Established history of success in positions of substantial autonomy and accountability
- Contract furniture, architecture, or interior design related industry experience preferred
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must be highly detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills
- Must possess organizational skills and flexibility to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in leading and collaborating with teams through all phases of projects, from programming through space planning and design
- Must be able to work well under pressure while still demonstrating professionalism and integrity
