Who would have thought that a bit of technology in the bathroom can reduce absenteeism? You read that correctly. Fewer sick days and less wasted resources. Touchless fixtures dramatically increase the likelihood of proper handwashing practices which lowers the risk of cross-contamination and cuts down on waste by dispensing only as much water, soap, warm air, or paper toweling as needed – a great example of eco-friendly design.
Sustainability
Sustainability initiatives and hygiene considerations are frequent motivators for touchless retrofits. Eliminating the risk of wasteful practices, like faucets left running, can result in considerable savings. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends a rinse, soap for 15 seconds, a final rinse, and using a paper towel to turn off the manual faucet. The whole time you’re soaping and drying your hands, the water is still running. If you don’t rely on the user to turn the water off, however, you’ll save water and money.
Hygiene
Many users detest touching washroom handles, levers, and buttons for fear of cross-contamination, which can lead to fewer users washing their hands properly. Experts have found that people would prefer to touch as little as possible while in a restroom, such as avoiding cranks on paper towel dispensers. Having a hands-free environment eliminates those concerns and increases usability.
Maintenance
Touchfree products typically require less maintenance because eliminating the need to touch the product reduces the potential for abuse, However, there are other considerations to take into account. Touch-free systems require a substantially larger initial investment, and these pieces of equipment typically require batteries (that last about 18 months on average).
Still, the benefits easily outweigh costs. As with many long-term decisions – a smarter initial investment can prove to pay for it self many times over. Fewer sick days and a substantial reduction in wasted resources would seem like the right choice.

I am considering selling Eco friendly touch less restroom fixtures and service for them.
What will be my biggest obstacle at this time if they are price competitive with good service?.? . I worry that the business is still a bit ahead of its time.
Thanks for your input.
